Weekend

The plan of sitting around and not doing much was accomplished successfully. The plan has been extended a day. We have high hopes for it.

I put together three decks from my old-school cards yesterday; one was going to be black-white, but it ended up more like black splashing white, as I always traded away most of my white, usually for black. The other two were a meaty green beatdown deck, nothing but hefty creatures, and mono blue. I'm not sure if the blue one will win much, but it'll sure piss people off.

Thinking about doing up a zombie deck. I like my zombies.

Last night we finished off Babylon 5 season 5 with the last three episodes, Objects in Motion, Objects at Rest, and Sleeping in Light. Sleeping in Light was actually done at the end of s4 when they weren't sure if they'd get renewed; they were, so they made another season-ender which was broadcast at the time (the one which keeps jumping forward in time) and left Sleeping in Light as the series-ender. That's why Ivanova is in it.

I love Sleeping in Light. That's how you end a series, right there. Too bad so much of s5 was tied up with the tedious, frustrating Byron Arc, before dropping it entirely and just moving on. Oh well.

Stargate is next on the science fiction side of the rotation. I've only seen a few episodes here and there, but it looked good and it comes highly recommended.

The picture is a Stryker being air-dropped. Not sure what particular aircraft is doing the dropping, if I had to guess I'd say C-17.
