Magic Night

Magic night was a blast. I cobbled together a black deck before we started, which worked about as well as you'd expect. My Izzet deck did better than I was expecting; I eked out a close win with it, which is pretty good considering that it doesn't have anywhere near the stuff I think it ultimately should to be competitive. My Dimir deck kicked ass, but it's a good deck. My boy Szadek is a deck eating machine.

Sarrazin won a game. Huzzah!

/dev/null is ruminating on the subject of Magic, and his possible return thereto. I'm pretty excited about the possibility, having more people in the player pool is always good.

I need to go through my older cards and put together some decks; right now all my playable decks are newer stuff.

My lovely wife made it to the Gatineau best buy and has a fresh new Season 3 of The West Wing. Looking forward to getting going on that.

We lost power last night in the storm, but just for a few seconds. It was just after everybody left from magic night, which was funny because I had just finished telling them that we don't lose power much where we are. At least, not compared to where we were. This town has a blackout when someobody sneezes.

Today is Ontario Peach Day, apparently. Anybody want a peach?
