Out Of Cheese Error

Some time back a friend pointed out, in something I had written, that I was consistently using the wrong word. I should have been using its homophone. It was exactly the kind of small, easily noticed mistake that drives me crazy in other people's writing, something I didn't think I ever would actually do myself. I completely hadn't noticed.

Since then, I've been paying attention. I don't do it constantly, but I do it. Yesterday I caught myself in the process of doing it, and for a moment I could see myself writing the wrong word and knew that it was wrong, but didn't have the gut feeling that it was wrong, the awareness of it.

I'm pretty sure that I didn't do that in the past.

Class tonight, plus weapons. I haven't actually gotten to use my sticks since I wrapped them; I either haven't gone to the weapons class, or we haven't used our sticks. Here's hoping I get to use them tonight, because if not, it'll be because we're doing endurance training, and ... ouch.
