Barbeque

The Greek cooked up an impressive pile of ribs, potatoes and corn on the barbeque while we sat around and drank beer. Presents were given and received enthusiastically, reminiscences were reminiscenced, and good times were had. We left with our hands filled with food (ribs, potatoes and corn, plus burger patties and pie). Mmm, pie.

As he's moved to the Pontiac now, well and truly off the beaten path, he's taken to listening to country music and to the wearing of obscenely large belt buckles. I was most impressed by the one that says BEER in big letters and has a built-in bottle opener. For his upcoming wedding, he's purchased each of the groomsmen an oversized belt buckle of their own. Mine has an oriental dragon coiled around a kanji and a ying-yang symbol. It's pretty sweet. I'm looking forward to using it to blend in a little better the next time I'm up in the Quebec hinterlands, enjoying his hospitality.

A pot of coffee is happily brewing as I write this blog entry and my lovely wife reads. Today, there will be the construction of decks of magic cards, and there will be the playing of Civilization 4. My ass will be parked in a chair or on a sofa as much as humanly possible. I plan on using an extra large coffee mug to minimize having to move. It's all about the details.

Since I didn't get much good eye candy in yesterday, here's something for your viewing pleasure -- one of the new Greek Leopard 2A6HEL, a superb vehicle in a camouflage pattern you don't see too often. Ooooh, pretty.

I think the coffee is ready.

Mmm... coffee! I like your plan btw. Started reading Stranger in a Strange Land... while sitting on the patio and drinking ze beer!

Is it the original published edition of Stranger, or the new revised edition? The revised one makes more sense, IMHO, but either way, it's a good book.

It's a good plan. I like this plan.

The revised and extended version.
