Weekend Update
Saturday we started off the day with kung fu. Class was fun, although I was winded and didn't stay for grappling (damn cold). One of the more interesting things we did was stalking close, in which you wait while a partner, wearing body padding, jumps about and tries to fake you out. When they commit you deflect and give them a few hard ones to the body. Fun drill.
Later on was a delightful evening with the Greek and Ladybug, the Rocket and TeamHooking, and Mr. & Mrs. Katha. Wonderful mexican food, strawberry enchilladas (!) and beer. Can't go wrong.
Sunday I wasn't feeling so hot so I loafed on the couch and watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The entire first season, actually.
Status: Potentially Unhealthy
My throat has been growing increasingly sore over the course of the day, and by day's end I was feeling a little woozy. I think somebody gave me their cold. Since I just got over a cold, I am -- to put it mildly -- displeased by this turn of events.

In other news, a little while back a few Royal Marines decided to go and rescue one of their number who had been left behind after a clash with the bad guys in Afghanistan. They did this by hitching rides on the outside of Apache gunships, clinging to the little steps the pilots use to get on board. Hard core, those marines. Anyway, video.
Game Night
Game night tonight seems to have been a non-starter. We may reschedule for later in the week, or just call this week a wash. We'll see.

2) Yeah, I read about the Royal Marines on Army.ca. Tough bastards.
3) I didn't need to see the picture name to know that was an Ohio Class SSBN. Christ, I'm surprised the photographer wasn't shot.
