The redoubtable Null is returning to our fair shores tomorrow. Sunday we are doing the Second Irregular Magic Booster Draft, this time featuring the Kamigawa block. I am extremely excited about this. The last one was a lot of fun and I'm sure this one will be even better.
Secret Project
There was a meeting for the Secret Project yesterday. Things are proceeding swimmingly.
Nintendo Revolution
The Nintendo Revolution, also known as the Nintendo Wii (although that name sucks by comparison), is coming out on Sunday. RJA is contemplating the purchase of one of these fine machines. He is, however, insistent upon arranging his Sunday so that he can get a Wii without having to miss church (?).
He asked me to prepare a well reasoned, well researched study on the subject. I summarize it here for your perusal.
In Favour: The Nintendo Wii is AWESOME.
Against: None.
Conclusion: Buy it.

I further counselled him to skip church to buy the Wii and play it all day, because the only thing better than the Nintendo Wii is illicit Nintendo Wii. Moreover, I heartily encourage the skipping of church on general principles (I've been skipping church for well over 1,500 Sundays, although as a Citizen of Reality, I'm not sure it counts as skipping). However I doubt that RJA will actually skip church, as he is a wierdo, so we can only hope that he does purchase a Nintendo Wii and thereby redeem himself in the eyes of right-thinking people everywhere.

My Sister's Unicorn
I spent some time today providing free technical support to my sister as she tried to work out how to save the movie she'd made on a poxy DVD maker program in a format suitable for uploading to the YouTubeHiveMind. After some digging, no thanks to the ass clowns who published said software, I came to the conclusion that she'd need a different part of the Suite in question to do what she wanted, the piece she was using being incapable of doing anything other than burning the prepared contents to DVD.
She gave me a link to a unicorn movie which I will watch shortly.
Beer
We're going to be taking back our 1.4 metric fuck-tons of empties tonight, and buying more beer. The larders have been bare for an unconscionably long time. This situation must be rectified.
Introspection
'Rectified' sounds dirty if you say it out loud enough times.
Broadway's
Broadway's poutine is really terrible. They use their standard fries, an extraordinarily salty gravy and shredded mozzarella cheese. This is many things, my friend, but poutine it is not.
Hockey
My lovely wife and I will be attending the Corel Center (I refuse to call it by its present corporate endorsed title, and I especially refuse to call it 'the bank' as that, as RJA would say, is very Brady) this Saturday to watch the Senators get taken to the woodshed. In previous years I would muster some enthusiasm for their performance but at the moment they're not playing at a level which would merit such an effort of will.
