Here We Go Again

Xmas Baking

Yesterday my lovely wife was very active in the kitchen. I prepared the dough for shortbread cookies and rolled and stamped out a few, before giving in (I was having a great deal of difficulty with the rolling and stamping). My lovely wife then took over and finished a large pile of shortbread, and went on to make butter tarts (which have received very positive reviews) and fashioned a delectable apple-cinnamon pastry out of her excess dough.

She's not just beautiful, she's also devilishly talented in the kitchen!

Nights of Bloooooooood!

Tonight was game night, with our first big game of Vampire, and oh the times to be had.

Serdic and I headed to my place and cracked open a few beers. Prime, Null and Mr. T took a little longer than expected to arrive, and the Rocket had to cancel due to the demands of his job, but eventually we got things under way. Serdic was playing Malkavian antitribu, I had my Lasombra deck, Mr. T was using my Tzimisce deck, Prime was using a deck made out of the half-deck of Brujah antitribu from the starter kit and a mix of Brujah and Nosferatu from his original Jyhad cards, and Null was playing a Camarilla deck which seemed to feature a large number of Ventrue.

The game was a hell of a lot of fun, although long, as we had to figure out what we were doing as we went. I got Mr. T down to 1 pool before he had to bail due to the hour; Serdic put out Prime, and then Null managed to oust me after a couple of turns of very close combat. Then, facing imminent doom at the hands of Serdic and few options to hand, Null conceded, handing Serdic the victory. Go Serdic!

Lots of fun was to be had. I am really enjoying Vampire and I eagerly look forward to our next game.
