Watch

Watch successfully resized!

We went to a jewelry store in the local mall and they asked me if I'd bought it there, to which I replied no, it's a gift. She took a look at it and sniffed that I definitely didn't buy it from them, to which I wanted to reply, no, bitch, I didn't buy it anywhere, it's a gift. She told me that it was a complicated one to do and they couldn't do it.

So I went to the Bay where a very nice woman removed two links in about sixty seconds and charged me $8. Bam, we're done.

Complicated, indeed. Incompetent, more like it.

I'm disgustingly proud of my watch. I haven't taken pictures of it to post on my blog, but that can't be too far in the future.

Microwave

The Dutch Nasty, RJA and I found ourselves at the Great Canadian Superstore today. I wanted to stop by the kitchen-appliances section to take a look at microwaves in the hope that the one we wanted would have been restocked. However, as it happens, they were still out. I was sad.

Turns out my lovely wife stopped by the Superstore immediately before we got there, noticed they had one left, and bought it.

Scooped by the wife!

Wedding Hall

After work we picked up some balloons and drove them out to the Greek's place. They were filled with helium, so we stuffed ten of them in the trunk and put the other ten in the back seat, covering them with coats to keep them down so we had decent rearwards visibility. My lovely wife is very clever.

Then we dropped them off at the Greek's house (he was at the hall getting ready), marvelled at how nice his deck is looking, and played with the dogs. Then we got lost looking for the hall.

When we got to the hall we went over what we'd be doing tomorrow (my lovely wife is going to be helping get things ready and being productive while I'll be riding in a pickup truck through the mud with the Greek). There will be dancing, and champagne, and speeches. I'm editing my speech down, under the principle that brevity is the soul of wit.

A principle I seem to have forgotten to apply to this post, but whatever.
