Busy Weekend
This will be a busy weekend.
Tonight I'm off to Kung Fu, then I'll be going along with my lovely wife to curling. She'll be playing, I'll be working on my laptop, watching the game and quite possibly drinking a beer.
Tomorrow is the dinner party. We have a full house lined up. Good times are sure to be had.
Sunday is curling practice with Mr. & Mrs. Foran Object. After that, the Mrs.es are going shopping and Mr. Foran and myself are going to RJAs to watch some Nascar. Me, I'm mostly in it for the feta pate, but then I think I've been fairly up front about that, so I don't know if it really counts as an ulterior motive, per se.
Date Night
Last night my lovely wife and I went out to the Works for dinner and then spent two free passes at the movies seeing Casino Royale. There were only two other couples in that theater; for a while there I thought we were in for a private viewing.
Good movie, overall. The new Bond is much closer to the way he's written in the books, which I'd count as a good thing. I thought the running and jumping in the beginning sequence was overdone and tiresome (and yes, I've seen the youtube videos). In summary, pretty good for a Bond movie.
Vampire Utilities
I ran across the most awesomest Vampire utility of all time. Not only does it have a complete reference, including full rules text, for all cards printed for the game (searchable and filterable), but it also has an inventory system so you can keep track of what cards you have on hand. You can then use a deck builder built into it to build your decks, based on the cards you have handy.
It'll even show you the min/max/average capacity of the vamps in your crypt and the breakdown of your library by type, set, rarity etc (totals and percentage), and draw you graphs of your average opening crypt capacity and the likelihood of drawing each of your vamps in your opening crypt. It also can show you (at the push of a button) sample opening hands and crypt draws for your deck.
Awesome!
