Gray Day

Patio deferred to tomorrow, we decided to do a bit of shopping. Picked up a nice new wheelbarrow (to help with the yard work), which was a good price and also happens to accessorize nicely with the push-lawnmower we got the other day.

Also picked up some transparent hockey tape. I wrapped my last set of sticks with black and white, old-fashioned coloured hockey tape (I wrap them mostly to keep them alive longer; rattan doesn't crack as much as ablate, sending off straw-like strands as it becomes increasingly bendy). At Canadian Tire they had black and white hockey tape, plus neon green, pink and camouflage. I figured I might do one in pink and one in camo, just to keep them guessing. But I went with the clear stuff for my new ones. Really like how they came out; they still look nice and woody, but they've got a nice feel and they should last for a while.

Missed grappling today as my back was unhappy with me when I woke up this morning. It's stopped hurting since I got up and had a shower, but it's still tight and I don't want to mess with it.

We're having some odd problems with DNS today. All the windows boxes are failing to resolve DNS correctly, so anything that isn't in my route tables won't come up. I can fix it by removing the DNS servers from the network config screen, saving, then opening it back up and putting the same servers back. The wierd thing is, my iBook and my linux box aren't seeing any problems whatsoever, but both windows boxen are.
