Rubber-Clad

Turkey Sightings

Saturday we made the trek to Kingston and met up with my uncle. We had a fun visit, he's a great guy and it's a shame we don't get to see him more often.

Mothership and KGB are both crazy. Kingston has acquired a wild turkey and they ... ok, well, KGB anyway ... are deadset upon capturing it and keeping it in the back yard. I don't think dinner was ruled out, either.

Hockey Night in Canada

Sunday we hung out at home and I played with my cards. I'm still trying to get all the cards I bought from Prime's brother into my spreadsheets. (11k and counting.)

Sunday evening we went out to Dougly and the CBC's new place. It is really nice. Their kitchen is fairly roomy and very attractive, with walnut cabinetry and a sink/breakfast bar done in yellowish granite. The whole thing works really well. The living room has big patio doors, but no balcony; there's grillwork outside of the doors so you can open them up and basically have one wall of the living room open to the outside. Very cool.

We watched the hockey game with them and ate lasagna, a great Greek salad, and tiramisu dessert. The CBC gets right into the hockey game; she doesn't handle tension well. I couldn't help but notice that the biggest cheer of all came when McAmmond dropped Talbot after Eaves got crushed.

Fun night.

Vacation Time

Yesterday I had off work. I hung out with my lovely wife, played Mille Bornes and Pirates! (I won the first game and then got my ass kicked in the second), and worked on the great american novel. The weather was profoundly shitty and I was happy not to have to go out in it.

All The News

RJA was playing superman today, swooping in to save the day. Actually, that might be Mighty Mouse ... whatever, he's the man.

Red had some good news today. Woohoo!

The CBC may/may not be buying a painting on the eBay. I told her to get out of it if she can, and promised to paint an identical (if not better) one for her for a whole lot less.

I also signed the CBC up for a gmail account. Gmail > everything else.

FutureShop has Stargate on sale. I now have seasons 1 through 4.

Mothership painted me a picture. It's awesome. I haven't decided where to put it yet.

I did the dishes tonight. There were a lot of them.

That is all.
