Just Another Slave to the Idiot Box
So after a lengthy hiatus, we've caved in and got cable tv. Getting it set up downstairs involved stringing a big pile of cable, as the people who wired the place figured that we'd want to have our tv on the opposite side of the room. I'm really not sure what they were thinking. Anyway, the Rogers guy took care of it.
Having the news is nice. I'm watching the BBC right now. I'm looking forward to watching hockey tomorrow.
Unbelievably, they're explaining what World of Warcraft is on BBC World Service. Guys, it's not 1998. Nobody is impressed that people pay real money for WoW money on eBay. At least, they shouldn't be.
I will not, rpt not, be watching America's Next Top Model, so RJA and the Dutch Nasty can just forget about that right now.
Ooh! Jeopardy is on! I like Jeopardy. I could wipe the floor with any of these clowns.
Fucking UPS
So I bought something on eBay. The listing specified US Postal Service for delivery. Imagine my surprise when I got a UPS waybill in my mailbox -- asking me to pay the princely sum of $89.70 to get my eighty dollar purchase.
Once I know for sure it's my eBay purchase (and I can't see what else it might be) I'm going to follow up with the seller. Hopefully he'll be willing to refund my money. If not, I suppose it's VISA's problem.
Fucking UPS, criminal assholes every one of them.
Hardware Upgrades
My new monitor is teh sweet.
I think that about does me, though, until I buy my new MacBookPro. Sweet, sweet Apple goodness.
