Much As The Pilgrims Must Have

Lots Going On

Unfortunately my blogging has been sparse ... okay, nonexistent ... over the past week. That's not because nothing is going on. Some of it I can even talk about here!

Lucky you.

Dance Dance Counter Revolution

We had an ad-hoc get together at The Greek' place on Saturday, ostensibly to watch the UFC match, but mostly just to drink and hang out. The Greek and Ladybug, my lovely wife and I, DiveBunny, Serdic, Wolfgang and UnLeftyLawGirl were all in attendance. UFC was duly watched, alcohol was consumed, and DDR got played.

Ladybug is quite the DDR machine, not that the Greek is any slouch. My lovely wife made me play, but in return I made her play with me, and managed to beat her. There are pictures but I'm reliably informed that they will remain in the potential blackmail file and not in the actual blackmail file.

Awesome time.

Carribbean Booty

We got a package from Red. She got me a Pirate T-shirt.

Red is awesome.

Step One: Steal Underpants

I've been working on my card game. I've gone looking for artwork I can steal on a few art sites (this is just for private consumption so I'm okay with flagrantly violating people's rights in this context), and started making cards in photoshop. Wolfgang has filled me in on the Tao of Photoshopping Shit To Be Printed. They're turning out so god damn pretty.

80-odd done so far. Eventually the whole set is going to be in the 300-card range. Sigh.

Anybody up for a playtest run?

The Great Non-American Novel

1/3 done so far. That's about 33k words, if you're keeping track.

Sir Edmund Hillary I Am Not

The Cat-6 has been achieved!

Ok, so RJA achieved it, I just gave it the old college try. RJA then filled me in on the contents of the food we'd eaten, and I started to understand why I still wasn't very hungry 24 hours later.

Honestly, I could have finished that last burger if it was just a question of fitting the food in my belly. What stopped me, aside from enlightened self interest, was how incredibly disgusting that last burger was becoming. Plus, the lamination of the inside of my mouth with grease. Ugh.

Still. Who dares wins, because it was there, et cetera.

You Killed The Zombie Flanders

Game night on Friday. Yes, I'm getting all non-chronological on you. Just call me Ron Moore.

At various times, Mr. T, Serdic, Prime, Prime-Sibling and EagerK were all in attendance. Magic was mostly played for the first while (since we all had Friday off, because of ZombieJesus, we were able to start around mid-afternoon) and some of those games were grudge matches.

Later on we drank beer and played ZOMBIES!!! which is so much fun it's just ridiculous. Long, though. Also, see above re: grudge match.

I also bought Prime-Sibling's card collection, since he's moving to the Carribbean to lounge on beaches with beautiful women and drink mai tais, or something to that effect. I got them for a hell of a deal due to his having to leave, and therefore liquidate his collection of bulky possessions he can't take with him, and my own inability to pay anything more than I did.

The Magic card collection is impressive with a lot of older stuff I didn't have. He also had some Vampire cards, from the V:TES set (which I didn't have any of, although I had most of it from Jyhad, which was the same except for the name), a pile of Star Trek cards (Prime will be so happy), and miscellaneous other things of questionable value. (SimCity: The Card Game? Are you shitting me?).

He also gave me the lovely wooden wine box used to transport said collection, which is going to replace my Coldsnap Fat Pack boxes for the same purpose. I can fit my Magic, Vampire, Conan, and Miscellaneous Other decks in there, plus all my dice and blood counters. Sweet!

I Alone, His Chronicler, Can Tell You Of His Saga

The Conan CCG rocks. Seriously.

Global Warming And Other Liberal Myths

It was snowing today.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

That's About It

Phew! Lengthy update. I guess that's what happens when I don't post for a while.
