Game Night Thursday
Thursday was game night at Null's. I got a ride with Serdic and we (ok, he) managed to get profoundly lost. But in the end we did get there intact, to join Null and Mr. T for cards and good times. No Prime though, he ended up wussing out.
My green/red fattie aggro deck did ok for the first part of our Magic game but ended up being crippled by Null's meekstones and the occasional ill-timed table sweep from Mr. T. Fun game. Mr. T left after that, having a long day with an early start ahead of him, so it was down to Null, Serdic and myself for Vampire. I finally tried out my stealth-bleed Lasombra deck, and managed to win, thanks largely to a few political actions by Null that saved my ass from Serdic's !Malk S/B.
I've done some serious tweaking on that deck since, taking out a pile of Potence combat that never got used and focusing on S/B and a little bit of vote defence.
The Weekend
The weekend was quiet. The highlight was raquette dinner and drinks at The Rocket's. Many congratulations were issued to the happy couple and people got hugged. Plus, there was a hugely inappropriate beer mug incident.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I finished up season 3 of Buffy. For my money, Mayor Richard Wilkins III is the best of the 'big bad' villains on Buffy; he's relatable, in the sense that everybody knows someone like him from real life, but he also has a human dimension from his relationship with Faith that elevates him above the two-dimensionality of the Master or Glory.
Season 4 is when Angel got his own spin-off. The last time I watched Buffy all the way through, I alternated seasons - S4 Buffy, then S1 Angel, then S5 Buffy, and so on. This time we're alternating episodes, which is how they were aired. Thank Science for my 5-disk DVD player is all I have to say.
Early Day
I'm up early today. There's a conference thingie. I can't say that I'm in love with being awake this early, but thankfully it's only a couple of days.

I wasn't lost! I just wasn't headed in the intended direction!
