Illness

My lovely wife is very seriously under the weather. She's gone to the doctor's, but they've been stunningly unhelpful.

Kung Fu

Kung Fu yesterday. The general class was okay, although my lungs weren't keeping up with the rest of me terribly well. I'm a little concerned that this might presage the onset of illness (see above), which would suck.

I also did a basic weapons class in which I did not exactly cover myself in glory. Very basic stuff but I dropped one or two questions during class that I should have known. I blame it on getting ready for my last sash test, as this has really cut into my weapons time.

The Works, Local Edition

They've opened a local branch of the restaurant The Works. We went there for lunch today. Nice place, a little smaller than other ones I've gone to, but not as busy; we didn't have a long wait to get in, which was nice.

Other than that, it was about as good as it's been in visits past.

Game Night Tonight

Null has volunteered to host game night tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing the Null domicile.
I've rebuilt all my Magic decks. Typically, as soon as I'd done so I thought of a few different deck types I really should put together instead. This time I'm running mono-white, R/B, B/U and R/G. I think it'd be fun to put together a B/W mass-destruction deck with lots of haunt and reanimation, and a B/U mill deck with all my Glimpse the Unthinkables and maybe a few Mundungus just to piss people off.

Building decks is starting to be a little cumbersome. I need a better system to build decks, given the pool of cards at my disposal. I can probably use my comprehensive Magic card spreadsheet database to do this.

Keith's Curl & Hurl

Foran Object and Pigtails have confirmed they'll be curling with us for the Curl & Hurl, which should be a blast. Serdic will also likely be joining us for the Friday night festivities. Good times are going to be had, although I might not remember all of them later on.

Television

Watching Alias season 2. It's a good show, although we've started making note of the episodes in which Sydney doesn't end the episode in a cliffhanger of mortal danger.
