After work on Friday, Prime and I hit the game store. We'd planned to get a box of Planar Chaos and split it with Null. The guy at the store managed to upsell Prime into an additional Planar Chaos fat pack. He didn't quite sell us on a second booster box.
I got a few things I was looking for, including the black Wrath of God and blue Serra Angel.
I made dinner later on. Serdic was good enough to point me at a few chicken recipes, including an orange ginger chicken. I did it with a pork loin instead of chicken breasts but it worked out really well regardless. When I first made the sauce I had my reservations -- it smelled pretty foul -- but it sweetened up nicely in the pan.
The Saturday That Was
This morning my lovely wife and I went in to Kung Fu. The first class was good, nothing too exciting. Afterwards was a grappling class. My lovely wife is a basic member so she doesn't normally get to do the grappling classes, but we had an odd number of participants and she was waiting for me anyway so Sifu asked her if she wanted to join in. The first few bits were just done on the mat, but we ended up with two rounds each of trying it with masks and gloves and permission to hit each other. My lovely wife sat out that part. Fun, but very tiring.
Nothing productive has happened with the rest of the afternoon. My lovely wife is out shopping at the moment. Dinner for tonight will be Chow Mein and peanut chicken skewers.
In Other News
The R2 unit my parents got me for xmas has arrived. Wolfgang will be staying around for the Rocket's upcoming shindig, but will be going to Kingston for a week thereafter; I'm told my R2 unit will be brought to town on his return trip.
My sister's birthday just happened. Unfortunately, part of my call ended up being a grim diagnosis on the health of her laptop and the contents of its hard drive, but apparently that's actually better than things which have happened in recent birthdays past.
My cell phone is going to die on me in the near future. I really should get a replacement sooner rather than later.
I am out of beer.
Denis Coderre is a fucking idiot. Attention Liberal Party of Canada: if telling the truth about you qualifies as a political attack, then maybe you should consider just how big a collection of assholes you've been.
The new expansion for GalCiv2 is out early. I haven't bought it yet. It looks really really good, but I can wait a little bit.

I'm not sure my phone can hold out that long :-( I've been telling it not to go into the light, but it's on serious life support.
