Xmas Party
My lovely wife's company xmas party went very well. We were at le Biftheque on the Quebec side, and it was really more of a dinner than your standard xmas party. The group was divided up between a number of tables but since I didn't know anybody anyway it wasn't a big deal.
The beef was exquisite!
Unfortunately things wrapped up too late to hook up with the Greek for a beer. Next time.
Sunday
There was quite a bit of wine.
But things are looking up. My lovely wife acquired Indian for lunches for the coming week (for days when she's not in town so we can't just meet up for lunch), and she brought me home a big jug of cider. Hot apple cider, mmm!
At the moment the xmas music is on and we are baking Butter Balls. Delish.
Civilization 4
In anticipation of future network games of Civ4 with the Greek, I fired up the game this afternoon, since I haven't played in a bit and I needed to knock the rust off.
Shit, I used to be much better at this.
Attention: the Greek! We need to pick an evening for the playing of the game they call Civ. How's Thursday night for you? Anybody else want in?
A Little Bit of Politics
Stephane Dion is the new Liberal leader. Given that the alternatives were Iggy or Bob Rae, I guess that's a positive thing for the Liberal faithful. As someone who is decidedly not among the Liberal faithful, I was quite happy with any of the candidates, who ran the gamut from 'mildly disastrous' to 'apocalyptically disastrous'.
Ah, a spring election!

Thursday is fine. As a matter of fact, let's make it a weekly thing. Of course, we need to mandate a start and end time - the game tends to have a mind of it's own.
..it's like crack I tells ya!
Actually, Weds. is better.
7-9?
