Kung Fu
We are hurting units. Seriously, my legs don't work anymore. What the hell.
Civ Night
Two hours of Civ with the Greek last night. I had a lot of fun. I'm getting some static from these Persian bastards who insist on building cities right next to my territory, getting all up in my shit like that, but I'll sort them out.
The multiplayer isn't fantastic but it generally works. Unfortunately it has a habit of going out of sync and then writing a huge ugly distracting out of sync message in red, right in the middle of the screen. But I can live with that.
That game is god damned addictive. I can't wait to get into it again. Good thing the Greek sets and observes limits on how long we play, otherwise I'd probably still be at it now.
Shopping
Serdic and I hit the town this evening. Among the highlights were me getting the rest of the stuff I wanted to get for my lovely wife for xmas; us being unable to find one particular gift despite hitting both LicBo's in town; Serdic chatting up a hottie at the mall; Serdic remembering why she looked familiar about an hour later; and the two of us not killing anybody despite the standard xmas crowds and associated precipitous IQ drops.
I picked up some Vampire cards. I think I have just about hit that critical mass point at which I can put together a decent deck around an idea. I also got to see first-hand the distribution problems which have plagued Third Edition (to my benefit) -- 2 more Sha Ennus (a nasty cap 11 Tzimisce) and 2 more War Ghouls (!). I've gone through my Tzimisce and Lasombra decks, they're much nastier now, and built a multi-clan Potence/Celerity/Gun deck with more firepower than you can shake a stick at. Good times, baby.
Xmas
My lovely wife has prepared white chocolate cranberry cheesecake, which looks amazing. A tray of it is going to work tomorrow for my contribution to our annual festival of Xmas Treat Days.
We got the lights on the tree tonight. Colourful!
Tomorrow
Tomorrow I have the afternoon off, but I'll be spending it cleaning the house and getting ready for the weekend. The first of this weekend's three events, the dinner with the Greek, Ladybug, the Rocket and TeamHooking, is tomorrow evening.
I'm not sure how much blogging I'll be doing over the weekend. Rest assured that I'm alive and well, although possibly no longer on speaking terms with my kidneys.
