Just call me Mint Jelly, cause I'm on the lam!

Tis The Season

Things are proceeding at a very Xmas-ly pace, especially by comparison with the hectic pace of previous days.

I need to wrap a fuckton of xmas presents though.

I (heart) White Wolf

My package arrived today. I spent 45 minutes at lunch breaking open boosters and I didn't get through it all. I have about eight different decks I want to build right now. I have barely the vaguest idea about most of what I've got and I can't wait to dig in and start figuring that out.

Woohoo!

Gift Exchange

RJA got us all pyjamas. Well, he didn't technically get me pyjamas, but rather flannel pants and a t-shirt, which is what I tend to wear (and the timing is great, as I was in need of a replacement).

Serdic got Vampire cards (sweet!), Null got Magic cards (from sets that I don't have very much of at all, and which contained some very cool stuff) and the Nasty provided yummy dutch butter cookies.

RJA received a swanky new Star Wars DVD from Null. Not too shabby! He seemed to enjoy the cheese board/knife set Serdic got him and the tan and black fleece scarves I gave him.

Serdic seemed quite excited with the Hunky Bill's perogie maker we got him. I foresee ... perogies!

Game Night

Game night is back on for Thursday with three confirmed attendees for Vampire. Let the good times roll.

Kung Fu

Kung Fu tonight. We figure that we can get in three more classes this December, if we time it right. That's not too bad, actually, given how nuts our schedule has been and how we're in Kingston for the last half-week of the year.

Shopping and Jebus

Did I mention I'm done my xmas shopping? Thank Christ.

We had a conversation today about the use of Merry Christmas vs Happy Holidays, and believe it or not, I was in favour of M.C. vs RJA's championing of H.H. (in the name of "sensitivity" -- oh, the irony, it burns!). My view is that it's an entirely secular holiday at this point, at least in this country. If I'm not offended by its historically religious underpinnings, then I don't think anybody else should be either.

In other news, the national parliament of Poland is considering making Jesus Christ the honourary King of Poland. I don't know quite what to say.
