It's Hallowe'en, a holiday which I love for its promise. Oh, the cat-girl, sexy devil, naughty nurse and Catholic schoolgirl costumes which you have brought my way -- Arbor Day has nothing on you, Hallowe'en.
My lovely wife has gone to eleven with the decorations. I have pictures. I'll post them shortly.
Also, she is a fiend with the silly string.
The pumpkin I carved is very cool. (I got a compliment on it and everything.) Pictures likewise to follow.
Our neighbour's kids were dressed up as a pumpkin and a cowboy (respectively). The elder, a girl, was very cheerful and excited. The younger was a little overwhelmed -- just like his sister was, the first year she was brought to our doorstep, dressed as a ladybug.
Bonus points to the kid who came around wearing an actual pumpkin on his head. At first I thought, aren't you a little old for this? But, dude, pumpkin. That's hard core.

I love the contrast between halloween in Kanata and halloween in the Pontiac.
