(screech! Crash! "KEEEEEEEAAAAANUUUUUUU!!!!")
Jolly Old Elf
The Santa Claus Parade is going on, winding its way down the road at the end of our crescent. My lovely wife is standing at the kitchen windows watching the antique cars, busloads of cub scouts, and small children spinning batons, riding unicycles, juggling and otherwise engaging in activities which are going to seem a much worse idea after two hours and several miles in very cold weather.
I'm here, blogging, and drinking apple cider.

Status Report
Things have been busy. Not much kung fu; we both got sick, and I hurt my leg, and my lovely wife has been buried in work.
My sister has acquired a horse named Wyatt. He looks like a good horse, to the limits of my abilities to judge such things. He has the correct number of legs, at any rate.
My lovely wife called me out to the kitchen to see the Grinch pulling a sleigh loaded with all the toys of Whoville, with Cindy Lou perched on top.
Rules of Acquisition
If they didn't want me to buy all this shit on eBay they wouldn't have put it up there, you know? Fortunately, the stuff I tend to buy on eBay (card games, mostly Vampire) is relatively inexpensive. Now, if I ever get seriously into yachting, we may have a problem.
I can hear someone playing Frosty the Snowman on steel drums.
In Other News
The Rocket has a hot tub. Awesome.
Not only is summer over, but fall is apparently over too. As I remarked to my partner in crime recently, I'm not ready for the former yet, let alone the latter.
My lovely wife's parental units arrive a week from yesterday. We still have some moving of furniture and organizing of miscellaneous stuff to accomplish. That will be the focus of this weekend.
And A Question
Does anyone know where you can find a stand for a steel drum?

You are the Man.
Jeeze... and we just had an ebay intervention for him!
Why would you ever want to do that?
