Busy Week

Monday

Monday night we swung by Dougly & the CBC's swanky new condo and then hiked it downtown. Elgin is now the Red Mile, and it was crazy monday night. Everywhere you looked were people in jerseys and in red; flags, noisemakers, painted faces. We got to Pancho Villa just as they were hauling out a TV for their patio, which is why the patio was empty; so we snagged a table right in front of said TV.

It was a pretty amazing thing, being right in the middle of that much enthusiasm and energy; piles and piles of people, all cheering on their team and their town. It was a fun game to watch, too, even if the bad guys won.

Tuesday

I don't remember what I did on Tuesday.

Wednesday

Wednesday we went to Kung Fu (ow) and then over to SBC to the Red Zone. Piles and piles of people turned up to sit outside and watch the game on giant screens. My lovely wife got me a big fuzzy red afro. It's pretty cool.

That game was a little more frustrating than the one on Monday, but, y'know, it's not a best of three. Now the Ducks have to come play in our house.

We got home just as it was starting to rain, and also saw some thunder and lightning. There was to be some impressive displays of that, this week.

Thursday

Thursday was Game Night with Serdic and Prime. We tried out my new Shadowrun decks. It's a pretty cool game which does a great job of capturing the feel of the RPG, while presenting a very distinct game model. I think we'll have to put this one in the rotation.

Fortunately, I think I have enough cards on hand to keep us going ...

Friday

Friday was Tan's barbeque party, in the company of the Rocket and TeamHooking. Good times had by all.

Saturday

Today, Wolfgang and UnLeftyLawGirl are joining the Rocket and TeamHooking at our place for a barbeque and the game. I can't wait.

GO SENS GO !!!
