Game Night

Off to the Corel Center last night to watch the Senators play the Flyers. My lovely wife got the tickets from one of her clients, who has season's tickets, so they were great seats -- 100 level, behind the home net.

Good game. Very hard fought in the first period, and a lot of the second, until the Sens tied it at 2 with 2 minutes left and then went up 3-2 with 13 seconds on the clock. The Flyers had a hard third period; the Sens went up 4-2 and then scored an open net goal to make it 5-2.

Great game though. Anderson, their new goalie, has some chops, and despite the high profile departures there's still a lot of recongizable names about.

Also, it was Fan Appreciation Day, so they gave away lots of stuff, including game day jerseys for 12 random season ticket holders. We didn't win anything but the Sens Store had 40% off everything, some stuff 50% off, and Jerseys buy-one-get-one-free. So we dropped some coin.

Elections

I'm not going to bore you with this here. If you want to know who to vote for, let me know and I'll talk you through what you can expect from everyone involved.

Beer

My lovely wife just brought me a half-pint of Guinness. She's awesome.

The reason she gave me a half-pint of Guinness is that she just put the other half into the Guinness Cheesecake she's presently making. THAT'S RIGHT BABY.

Games

I ordered from GermanGames.com! Can't beat their shipping. I am presently awaiting delivery of the 2nd Cosmic Encounter expansion; Citadels; the Brazil/Iberia board for Power Grid; and the Power Grid power stations replacement deck.

Good times man.

Incidentally I'm also still waiting for the Stargate mousepad I ordered for work, but that's coming from Malaysia or some shit, so, you know.

Keyboard

My new keyboard with integrated trackball is teh awesome. I remain quite pleased with it.

TRON

It's out on Blue Ray! Need to go get a copy.

So To Sum Up

I think that's about it. Smaller stuff and links and such will go into the Twitter henceforth. Longer stuff will continue to go here. Rants and foul language will stay at the workplace. I'm still not on Facebook.

Now you're up to speed. Good night, New York.
