Construction
A while ago (like, October) my lovely wife bought herself a new desk. The plan, however, required it to be in the position of her current desk, with her current desk going into the library so I could use it, with the stuff from the library going into the den. This complex shuffle took some time to accomplish but it is now complete and her old desk has been moved.
So, as a surprise, one night when she was working late last week I decided to build her desk for her.
Little did I realize that it would be the most complicated thing I think I`ve ever built, requiring 2 people to assemble. I spent 6 hours on it and didn`t quite have time to finish the drawers and I was completely wrecked by the time it was done.
But she was very happy, so, worth it.

Game Night
Nullination has been added to the game night roster! Also, Mr. T has returned from his foreign adventures! Between him coming back, Angel`s period of school exam craziness abating, and the employees of a certain software firm I once was associated with regaining their personal lives following the launch of the Playbook, we ought to pretty soon have a regular turnout in the 10-12 people range. Holy smokes.
Speaking of Mr T, he`s signed on to try out a new tabletop game that I`ve been very keen to start, Dystopian Wars. And The Signaller is likewise interested. Steampunk naval shenanigans!

I love the basic concept of the game. In an alternate 1870 a crazy-slash-brilliant scientist discovers a cache of super advanced technology of unknown providence in Antarctica. It is distributed with the intent of allowing all of mankind to raise itself up, putting an end to hunger and want. Five minutes later everybody is bolting Tesla coil death rays to their battleships and putting the slowpokes to the sword.
That seems a little more likely, really.
Busy Weekend
Today my lovely wife was off to curling for a 9:30 AM start, due to her team`s victory in their end of season tournament last night. Later this afternoon I`m off to Wayne and Elizabeth`s to help them move some furniture and then to The Signaller`s place for our Burning Wheel game. Tomorrow is Warhammer with Dougly (the CBC is off to the exotic orient). I`m planning on trying out my new greenskins.
In between there somewhere I`m going to move my lovely wife`s computer equipment over to her new desk and start setting up shop in the library.
Lots to do!
Also, there`s an election going on, but you probably knew that.
