Niagara Falls

My lovely wife and I took a four day weekend and fucked off to Niagara Falls. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. Good times were had.

Friday was mostly driving out there and checking in, although we did walk over and see the Falls. We didn't stay in one of the hotels right on the falls, but all of them are easy walking distance, and the weather was quite amenable for this time of year.

Saturday we enjoyed the charms of Niagara Falls. We went on a ride on the skywheel and took pictures of the dinosaur park; we visited the falls and took lots of pictures. We walked along Clifton Hill and visited some of the shops and bought a bunch of fudge. (Some of Clifton Hill is freaking creepy, btw).

There is a Calgary Tower sized tower beside the falls with a rotating restaurant in it, which we were considering checking out, but the buffet isn't open in the off season and the regular menu is freakishly expensive, so that'll have to wait for next time around.

Also, my lovely wife checked out the Hershey store, and saw peanut butter cups the size of pies and a five pound Hersheys bar.

Also also, we checked out a glass making place. We bought a really nice centerpiece bowl type thing in purple glass, and then the owner had the guy make another one like it so we could see how it is done. Very very cool.

Wine

On Sunday we went on a wine tour. We visited three vinyards, took a tour and had our every question answered, ate a good lunch, and spent an hour shopping in Niagara on the Lake.

The vinyards were quite nice. We drank some very good wine and bought a case to take home with us, including some red icewine which was very tasty.

On Monday we stopped in at Peninsula Ridge on our way home, since they are one of my lovely wife's favourite brands, and bought another case of wine from them.

I don't need to buy wine for a while.

Overall, a very relaxing and entertaining holiday.

You know what? It's their network, they're donating the time, and it's not like there aren't plenty of ways to get your message out. May is a dirt slinging moron and the less we see of her the better. If they don't want to include her she can go post on youtube.
