I recently made a set of cards for Catan. These are based on a real product which I wanted but could never find, which replaces the dice and ensures a more correctly distributed range of values. You can also put special rules on the cards. I was very keen to try it out after playing Knights & Cities Catan for the first time last week.
Lots of people were interested as well; we ended up with 9 people on the schedule. I duly made up a second deck.
Unfortunately, due to a couple of unavoidable cancellations, we ended up with the dreaded number 7 -- too many for one game, too few for two.
So instead we played 2 games of 4, one of regular Catan and one of Knights & Cities, and I played in both games at the same time.
And I won both games.
It was legen -- wait for it --
