Seven Vaguely Related Things

Sexy

Steve Jobs did his Apple thing. You know, the thing where he gets up on stage and tells you about how the world of personal electronics just changed under your feet and nobody but him and you know about it. Nobody but him and you.

Apple has a laptop that's 3/4 of an inch thick and has 64G of solid state storage. I don't know quite what to say.

Printer

In unrelated news, I bought a printer.

Ow Me Leg

I had my second massage therapy session. This one hurt less and my leg is feeling quite a bit better. Good times, here I come.

Also

I like my lovely wife's new Christmas pyjamas.

Gamers, and the Gamer Chicks Who Love Them

Vampire was a great success last week. I'm looking forward to a return engagement. This week, though, is a Magic kind of week. Also there's an Unhinged draft this weekend, which should be a blast.

A Brief Review

Tail Gators, a sportsbar/pool kind of place above the Sport Check in Merivale (I think?). Don't go there late and for the love of sweet little baby jesus, don't order food.

It might be great food, I really couldn't say. Arriving two hours late, cold and moist, it could have been the greatest comestible since the spice Melange and I still would have wanted to punch the manager in the head.

Also, the long stair climb up to it, through piles of braindead smokers, didn't help.

Believe it or not, though, I had a lot of fun that night -- no thanks to you, Tail Gators.

Another Brief Review

The Great Debaters, a movie. Highly enjoyable, well written and acted and addressing an important subject (racism in the US South, or more generally, Why America Is and Probably Always Be a Fucked Up Country).

Also, there's a preview for Will Ferrell's new movie about basketball players in the 70's ahead of it. He wrestles a bear. I have not the words.

Oh lord please just let the bear win and get it over with... no more Will Farrell movies and everything else will just fall in to line. I'm serious... Middle Eastern peace, political bipartisanship and climate change will all be solved.

Please, let the bear win.

Amen.
