Political Insanity
I find it amazing that our Parliament has nothing better to do than clutch its collective pearls and swoon across a fainting couch because somebody said something mean about Quebec. Not surprising, in any way, but still, amazing.
If I was running Macleans the next issue would be titled QUEBEC SUCKS AND HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT, right beside a picture of that gay Carnivale habitant snowman guy carrying a dead hooker and a bag of coke. I mean, it can't hurt sales.
Movies
Is Tron 2 out yet? And if not, why not?
Postage
All of my packages arrived on the same day. Figures.
Game Night
Having problems putting together a vampire night, but I think that's mostly due to Optimist Prime being AWOL in the land of the rising sun. We do have something scheduled now, though, so that's good.
In the meanwhile there will be Pandemic, which I've heard about but never tried. Should be fun.
Software
I hate iTunes. What an incredible piece of shit. Why can't apple write decent software? I mean, it's a glorified mp3 player, how hard is that?
I'm generally liking windows 7 more than any other version of windows I can think of, but I suppose that's a lot like saying that this is my favourite bout of syphillis. As if to remind me of this, I recently installed vim and then had to fight with it for twenty minutes to get it to let me edit my .vimrc. Because, you know, users shouldn't be touching files in certain directories, and changing those settings requires you to wade into the shuddering horror of Microsoft's Attempt At A Real Security Model.
