Things to Consider

Nowadays TV shows frequently don't even do an opening title sequence because the studios and stations are terrified the viewers are going to fuck off to the internet or their x-boxes. Most shows get 10 seconds of music and a title card.

The opening title sequence of Star Trek: The Next Generation is 1 minute 31 seconds long, by my count, and mostly contains absolutely fuck all to look at.

1987, thou were a different age. Verily.
