Politics
The election continues. You probably don't care, not too many people do yet. I will restrict myself to offering up this fascinating tool for your amusement and edification.
Holding Pattern
Still waiting for the car. We do, however, know where it is; have a reasonable estimation of when it will arrive; and a shiny new Explorer (as of this weekend) to drive until it gets here.
Music
Metallica and Guns & Roses both have new songs out from their new albums. The G&R one is just plain awful. Just a mess. Metallica's new song, likewise, underwhelms. It reminds you of their early sound, while lacking any of the qualities that made them good, back then. They're happily descending into self-parody.
Hard Core
Serdic and Singer are blogging from overseas. That's hard core.
I enjoy reading about what they're up to. I do, however, always find myself hungry when I'm done. Funny thing.
(Singer was wondering what Stonehenge was for. It's a computer. Happy to help.)
LHC Hasn't Destroyed the World Yet
Just in case you're wondering. The global economic holocaust continues apace, however.
Busy
I'm going to be busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking competition for a while. Lots of family are descending on the Casa. Then we have trips, including a jaunt to Maryland to visit KGB and her Sailor.
It's going to be awesome spending time with family from both sides. There may be some lag in blogging, but, SOP, right?
TV
We managed to watch all of House season 4 on DVD in time to start watching season 5 on TV. Watching TV on TV is interesting. Takes some getting used to. I'm not in love with this thing where I have to be in front of the TV at a specific time, but we don't watch enough to make a PVR worthwhile.
Star Trek Enterprise gets better in Season 3 (from the last episode of S2, actually). They do, however, change the theme song. It was better before.
That's All, Folks
We're off to dinner with RJA, the Dutch Nasty, and RJA's new squeeze, who will have to be assigned a blogging soubriquet once I have the opportunity to devise one based on personal experience. This is to get in some face time before he is shipped off to the Fatherland. Maybe he'll come back with an appreciation for beer and sauerkraut. One can hope.
Smoke 'em if you got 'em.
