I know, I know, I haven't blogged in forever. I'm a bad blogger.
Look, things have been busy. There was that thing, and then that other thing, and then the really exciting thing that may be cancelled. And stuff that hasn't happened yet, and stuff that has, and honestly, I'm having a hard time keeping it all straight.
Dead Sexy
No car yet. The upside to this particular arrangement is that we get a one-year-old slightly used 2008 Ford Taurus X for quite a bit less than it ought to be. The downside is, there may be a little bit of waiting.
It'll be worth it. Trust me on this.
So sexy.
You Are The Brute Squad
Kung fu continues. The skills are coming back fairly quickly. The stamina really isn't. I'm going to do some running and bike riding and such to try to hurry it along.
Oh, the hurting, I missed you so.
It's A Good One, Piglet Gets Lost
The pig roast was amazing. The Greek put in an amazing, gruelling day slaving over roasting pig so that the rest of us could feast upon the fruits of his labour. Good times were had, my friends. Good times.
Englishmen yet abed will hold their manhood cheap that they were not with us upon this Pig Roasting Day.
If Shakespeare had been at the Farm for that pig roast, man, he would have written some
poetry.
Serdic and Singer, Airborne
An actual gtalk conversation.
Nail: If I don't get a chance to talk to you again before you go, enjoy yourself and stay safe.
Serdic: Farewell. If the Large Hadron Collider kills us all, it's been nice knowing you and hopefully we'll be battling evil, in another dimension.
Nail: I will see you anon, knee deep in radioactive zombies, in Dimension X.
Serdic: Just like old times.
Mulligatawny
It's this curry soup with curry and coconut milk and chicken and potatoes and apples. My lovely wife makes it. She made vast quantities of it recently. It's soooooooo good. MMMmmmmmmah.
No, I can't spell it. No, I don't care.
Multimedia
Watching House Season 4. Quite enjoying it. We're trying to get it done before season 5 starts on TV. So far, so good.
I've burned through a lot of SG1 and Atlantis lately. The bit with the psych exam question from Blade Runner just killed me.
I'm reading a very interesting history of the initial Muslim expansion after the death of the Prophet Muhammad. Very cool, especially since it's a corner of history I don't know terribly well.
I'm also reading Eisenheim, which nearly won a Hugo. So far I'm finding it a difficult read. Part of it is set in the dark ages, and is very interesting, but part of it is set in the present, and is very tedious. It's all about research weenies studying obscure and, quite frankly, very silly disciplines, and the research weenies in question aren't very likeable. They're kinda pretentious and grating. I find myself wishing for aliens to kill and eat all the research weenies so we can get back to the cool Dark Forest with Aliens bits.
Oh well. We'll see how it goes.
That's All Folks
I think we're up to date. More or less. 99% of my readership (so, like, 7 of you) can just stop here.
Three Years
I love you, baby.
