The new MacBook Pro is out. No stupid chicklet keyboard. On the down side, I now have to get one.
In Vino Veritas
The weekend was largely restful and uneventful, save for the Rocket and Team Hooking's wine and cheese event. It was a lot of fun, actually, highlighted by foosball and ping pong grudge matches in their basement.
There was a sequel on Monday as the beer and wings night in which the Rocket and I sometimes partake extended into hockey game watching and the preparation of spaghetti. Spaghetti sauce should totally have bacon in it. The Rocket, thou art an unappreciated genius.
Monsteriffic
My partner in crime has supplied me with the CD of this hillbilly monster rock group that he's gotten into, and they are extremely appealing. They kind of get in your head.
Plus, zombies.
Stargate
Season 6 freaking rocks.
Perl
I have been using a lot of Perl lately at work. I largely have not been enjoying the experience, although in fairness I must admit that it has increasingly proven useful at certain tasks which would otherwise be more complicated than they need to be.
My time hating Perl is certainly coming to a middle.
And Some Eye Candy
The old man supplied me with a book on the battle of Midway. At roughly the same time, we watched the two recent movies on Iwo Jima, Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima. I am finding myself increasingly interested in all things Pacific.
