Wile E Coyote, Sooper Genius

My Talented Wife

She played in a curling tournament this weekend to benefit breast cancer charities. 6 games in 48 hours is a lot at the best of times, and when this is the first time you've curled this season, you're in for some aches and pains.

But she hung in there and did very well - one more win and they'd have been into the finals. She came home with a very nice crystal bowl from the former Czechoslovakia.

You rock, babe.

King of the Geeks

So I set up a wiki page on my home network.

The rationale for doing so was that I spend a lot of time working on books or games or other things with detailed and involved backgrounds. I usually put notes on these sorts of things in all sorts of various places, all of which are on one computer or another, and not always accessible if I'm on another machine.

So now I have a wiki page and I can put all that stuff there, and then get it wherever.

This took a little bit of poking around to get going, but not much. PHP, Apache, MySQL ... ah, smelly linux hippies, a pox on both your houses.

Whoah!

Blogger just tried to navigate me away from my page. My post! Noooooooo!

It's okay, Firefox cached it.

BlackBerry Outage

BlackBerries across North America are down! Oh noes!

It's okay, mine is still working.

Airbourne

Got some of their stuff for Red, and I've been listening to it on my iPod, and enjoying the hell out of it.

Cultural Sensitivity

Out for Peking Duck on Sunday to celebrate the Chinese New Year with Dougly and the CBC, Wayne and Elizabeth, and The Pat, at least two of whom are authentically Chinese. Unfortunately I was smited with a blistering headache and wasn't my usual lively self -- sorry, guys.

We got invited to see Wayne and Elizabeth's new place, and she even offered me beer if I came. I really wish I didn't have to say no.

And a Quote

Field Artillery lends dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl.
