Calling It "Fall Roet" Is Probably In Bad Taste

This entry is not going to have a grand unifying theme. Instead, it will be a collection of unassociated items.

I'm lazy.

Operation Red Completed

Last night we were over visiting with the Rocket and TeamHooking. They prepared a lovely roast (mmmmm) and then we sat in their outdoor hot tub while snow fell on us. It was awesome.

It was also part of an elaborate scheme ('tis the season, you understand). My lovely wife's sister Red was coming in from out west for Christmas, and her parents didn't know about it. We picked her up at the airport and brought her home, after everyone had gone to bed. This morning my lovely wife's parents were greeted by her sudden and completely unexpected presence. Merry Christmas!

You know, scheming is a lot of fun when you're in on the scheme. The shoe's on the other hand now!

Presents

We have some shopping left to do (gulp!) but we're in pretty good shape. Hopefully tomorrow we can put a stake in this one. After that, it's all over but the wrapping.

Xmas Tree

Our xmas tree is up. It's pretty.

Geekery

Two things on the geekery front have happened recently which are worth mentioning, although I'm confident most of you will just skip over this section entirely. (Please feel free to.)

First up, I ordered an eBay lot of Vampire cards, ~900 worth from the Sabbat set. I figured it was probably a good deal even though it certainly wouldn't include vampires. Turns out it did include vampires, in large quantities; and lots of good and interesting Sabbat cards, even including a number of power-rare cards that you'd ordinarily see raffled off individually, like War Ghoul and Mind Rape and Camarilla Vitae Slave. It's almost a complete set of Sabbat and basically what you'd get if you bought about a box and a half of Sabbat, which would be worth about ten times what I paid for this lot, if you could find it.

Nice.

The other is about Camarilla Edition, the last big set to feature the Camarilla. It's basically impossible to find. I've been able to track down just about everything else, and as such my collection looks like I've been playing for a lot longer than I have been, but CE is a big ankh-shaped hole in the middle of it. It's just not to be found. The library cards aren't that critical as I have a lot of those from other sets (especially the original Jyhad release, which falls out of trees these days), but the vampires? Impossible to find. They're the hardest thing to get your hands on in this game, hands down.

In April, White Wolf is releasing a pack of all 100 Camarilla vamps from CE, reprinted for your convenience.

I less than three White Wolf.

Your Christmas tree can't possibly be as nice as mine.
