Blogger Non-Update

Yes indeed, it has been some time since I have posted on my blog.  It's not due to a lack of interest or things to write about, to be sure.

I've been subject to the intersection of a number of disparate factors, all of which are working against my blogging proclivities.  Work has been unusually hectic, especially this past week.  My weekends have been booked, and while they have been a whole lot of fun, it's been energy-draining fun.  Most notable of all, training camp has been hurtling towards me, cannonball-like.

Training camp is something that I've been hearing about, and knowing that I was going to have to do, for years now.  The imminence of it has filled me with a mixture of excitement and anxiety, the exact ratio of which has sloshed back and forth like an oil-and-water wave tray toy on the desk of an overpaid CEO.

As of last night, though, both of those sentiments drained away as I packed up my goodies and got things ready for this weekend.  I passed through the anticipation of the thing, into the actuality of the thing.

This afternoon we head off to the Pagoda.  I have vague notions of what awaits.  Well, I'm pretty sure about the pain and the exhaustion; it's the details which are vague.

See you all on Sunday.
