An Update, Startling in its Brevity

Things have been busy. Especially at work, but also elsewhere. I have been painting like a madman (compared to my usual pace, at least, which has been unfavourably compared to the rate of stellar formation in the M7 galaxy) in anticipation of my Warhammer battle with Dougly this Friday. I managed to make some progress, too, however slight.

Unfortunately the shipment of miniatures I secured from the UK has been delayed; the company in question is growing like mad and is having problems ramping up is staffing accordingly. This is a somewhat predictable downside, both caused by and worth suffering through due to their astonishingly good discounts. It does mean, however, that I will have to proxy my unit of Pistoliers on Friday. Given that Dougly has units of his army which were secured in the Dinosaur toys section of the Museum of Natural History, though, I suspect proxying will be acceptable.

I have caved in to the temptation and created a blog specifically for my miniature related stuff. You can find it over there on the right. It is my hope that having a blog which must be populated with pictures of my progress painting my miniatures will encourage me towards progress painting my miniatures. Stranger things have happened.

The incipient civilization-destroying Swine Flu pandemic seems to have abated. I am relieved.

Summer weather is well and truly at hand. Praise be.

Back to kung fu after that cold and the lungs and the wheezing oy. So, sore. Doubly so tomorrow, one can expect.

Okay. That's about it for me. Longer updates to come over the weekend. I promise.
