While we were in Maryland the subject of Five Guys came up. It is, as it happens, a burger place. It came highly recommended. Upon our return I discovered that there is now a Five Guys in Ottawa, about 3 minutes from my house, with something like four more planned for the Ottawa area.
(Incidentally, the Stittsville bridge is now open, too.)
So this fine evening my lovely wife and I went there and ordered ourselves some burgers and fries.
First off, Five Guys is in no way comparable to The Works, which I do not internally categorize as a burger place anyway. But of the remaining places in Ottawa to get a burger and fries, Five Guys beats all of them handily. The burgers are extremely tasty, the home-made-style fries are very good, and you get massive quantities thereof.
Five Guys: Highly recommended. Go check them out.
