I had a good day, a kick-ass kung fu class, got some great news from a friend, and damnit, there's enough negativity on the internet. (I should know, I put it there.) So. Here's a few things that are awesome.
1. That bit of March Road when you're going north, past the highway where it goes up the hill. That's awesome, although almost certainly only to me. It makes me feel like I'm 20 again and Kanata just stopped being suburbs and started being the high tech capital of the country. It's the future, man, and it's ours.
2. On the subject of roads: Goulbourn Forced is awesome (deeply questionable pavement and all), specifically when I'm going to work in the morning just a little earlier or later than everyone else and there's nobody on the road, and I feel like a race car driver and go a little bit faster than I probably ought to.
3. My wife. She's awesome.
4. Developments in regards to our mortgage definitely qualify as awesome.
5. I skinned my knuckles through my gloves doing punching bag exercises today. Awesome.
6. News that is not mine to give you is awesome. But you're just going to have to trust me ... it is.
7. Swine Flu hasn't killed anybody I know (knock on wood). The Next Great Pandemic is on our doorstep -- just like fusion power and the hopes of most sports franchises, it's just around the corner and always will be -- but it's not here now.
8. Firefly is awesome. Everything Joss does is, actually, excepting most of Season 6 of Buffy and a few early episodes of Dollhouse.
9. Beer is awesome.
10. My lovely wife is awesome. I know I already mentioned that, but she's awesome enough to get mentioned twice. She's that awesome.
Okay, that's enough from me. Enjoy this bit of positivity because, as of next post, I'll most likely go back to vomiting bile and virulent abuse upon anyone and anything that crosses my path. It's the Internet, you know. We all gotta do our part.
