Mother's Day saw visits from both Mothers, which was a lot of fun.
The days around those visits were a swirling mass of preparation -- shopping, packing, composing of lists. Oh, and our dryer vent chose an inopportune moment to die a horrible, horrible death.
But the dryer vent is fixed, preparations have been made, lists composed and then systematically checked off, and now everything is in readiness.
Tomorrow morning we catch our flight out west, for a week with Red and then a week with the elder sister, her husband, and our brand new niece. I am firmly in vacation mode. I can't wait.
This blog will most likely be dark until our return on the 27th (except that we get in late, so probably after that). I might blog if I have an internet connection, the opportunity, and the inclination, but honestly I'm hoping to stay as far away from computers as I can (my eBook reader and my iPod Touch not counting).
And I'm definitely not bringing my blackberry.
Have fun, all. See you when we're done.
